Accounting/Accounts Receivable

Hershkovitz & Associates is seeking an Accounting Specialist with a minimum of three years’ of related experience in a professional/corporate office environment.

Job Description:

  • Handle all accounting procedures for the Firm
  • Track invoices and payments on Excel spreadsheet and QuickBooks for U.S. and foreign clients
  • Track and report attorneys’ time for billed professional services
  • Reconcile all bank accounts and credit cards
  • Create monthly billing statements and email or mail them to clients
  • Audit and research accounts for clients to ensure all services are billed
  • Perform audit for year-end tax purposes and reconciliation
  • Assist CEO, CFO, attorneys, clients and employees with varied inquiries
  • Perform other duties as requested

Requirements:

  • Passion for and commitment to the organization
  • Ability to work with all types of personalities and handle issues discreetly and confidentially
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize, organize, and coordinate projects
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work well under pressure
  • A positive and flexible attitude with the ability to work within a team setting
  • At least 3 years’ accounting experience
